HALTON IS A PART OF DESIGN FOUNDATION

Initiated by the Lahti Industry Association, 16 design-orientated companies across Finland have established a Design Foundation in Lahti, Finland. The foundation collects funds and allocates them to design related research, education and development in Finland. The foundation has it’s own design and media laboratories in Finland. The annual budget for the foundation is estimated to be two million Euros. As a part of Lahti Industry Association, Halton willingly signed for establishing the new foundation.

The city of Lahti has a reputation as a design city of Finland, and is expected to continue in investing in design in the future. The city has been appointed along with Helsinki as the World Design Capital for year 2012.
